4 DJs/presenters sacked at BBC Radio Scotland

This article is a few days old, but I just found out about it from listening to Ashley Storrie right now on Radio Scotland.

I’m not sure whether or not an “easy listen” show (whatever that means) is going to bring in new listeners. I only listened to Bily Sloane once, based on someone else here mentioning his show (maybe @KC8UOK did?) and have never heard the other presenters, I’d love to hear other people’s opinions on them.

I wonder if this means the shift to 2 hour long shows, rather than 3 hour long shows, could end up being changed in the future. Fingers crossed…

Not me. I left in 2014 and was far enough away I couldn't even get Radio Scotland in the daytime.

Billy Sloan's Saturday show and Iain Anderson's Sunday show are being replaced by "mixtape" shows by Roddy Hart. Natasha Raskin Sharp's last show (her stint started in 2016) airs on Thursday, Sloan concludes his 11 year run on the 27th and Anderson's last show after 40 years is on the 29th.
