Davidson is here and mopping up. Where would the competition come from? Are they going after Davidson?

Not that I can understand any of the programming except for the top of the hour ID "Indionapolize".

I thought continental had two stations here....and the Davidson station is pretty much a daytimer whereas the continental station is on 24 hours aday....mopping up.....hmmmmm....also heard that the person looking in Indy is one of the big Spanish broadcasting companies. Heard that were checking out Indy and thought that they could do a better job of providing for the community.

The numbers don't matter. They aren't selling numbers. They are selling the fact that they are the stations for Hispanics to listen to in Indy. How many Hispanics are going to fill out a diary any way?

You dont consider it a mopping? WSYW used to hold a 1.2 to 1.5 by itself before you took over and now its a non existent station and WEDJ held the same, which was an average combo 3 share.

Your cute comment as N_D Radio coming down on yourself about the caps is great. Soon you'll sign in under your third alias (your real name "Russ Dodge") telling everyone I'm crazy and "it's just not true".
WEDJ and WSYW is screwed up badly, maybe someone can come in and resurrect the revenue streams for Hispanic Radio in this market. Hopefully they will hire the old WEDJ and WSYW staff (the legal ones anyway) and put the final nails in. Davidsons LMN is failing as well and its a matter of time. I guess that the old excuses blaiming the Barnett regime ought to be running out soon too. Warshaw probably wants to see one-third the money the stations used to make before you took control.

Davidson has mopped up according to listeners. They no longer listen to WEDJ. This isn't Arbitron, it's the street.

Income and revenue have also shifted to Davidson who has a local and regional marketing plan.

It may be Am but it apparently has the best signal and programming, according to my Espanol friends. Again, I dont listen much.
 
a friend of mine who had a buddy who worked there said that things were really bad....rates have fallen in the toilet and in his opinion being poorly operated.....the guy who is running wedj..isnt he the same guy who spearheaded the oldies debacale at 95.9 a couple years ago?.......i am sure mr byrd is still raising chicken prices to pay for that one.......
 
I dont think Indy could support another Spanish language station, especially not one that leans on the Adult side like 107.1 and 810...... Reggeaton in dead, so I dont think anyone would put that format on the air here, a Hispanic Urban may have worked 2 or 3 years ago when the format was new and hot, but not now. I would think most young hispanics listen to Radio Now, Hot 96, and X-103.....
 
You are right about a reggaeton format by itself it will not work
But if you grab a little of RadioNow, Hot963 & some 810am you will have a Radio Station
that can go after the africanamerican anglos & hispanic listeners

A one stop radio station that can go after the 13-19 & 23-35 listeners both male & females
If you dont think it would work how come RadioNow has included some reggaeton during their mixes

You could have concerts at the murat the verizon the conseco the music mill the state fair ground
