40 years ago today I was working for WCKS 101 in Cape Canaveral and I was standing on the Press Site on Pad 39 in our Press trailer.. With me were several people including, well know space author and great pilot and friend Martin Caiden, Hugh Downs, Jay Barbree, Bill Cummins, Howard Benedict, John Glenn, Alan Sheppard and a host of other people. We were there to cover the launch of Apollo 11 to send Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins to the Moon! What a time that was..with the Today show Live and all the hoopla that was going on! I have stories to tell that are hard to believe even to me and I WAS THERE!BIG APE ;D ;D
