40 Years Today (January 28, 1985), The American Cancer Society Released A Controversial TV Commercial Which Showed A Unborn Child Smoking A Cigarette, The Ad Was Directed By No Other Than Hollywood Director David Fincher, 2 Of The Big 3 TV Networks, CBS & NBC Refused To Air It Because They It Was Too Graphic, However ABC Was The Only Big 3 TV Network That Did Carry The Ad On A Once-In-A-While Basis, And Not Only Did ABC Air It, But So Did Their O&Os (At The Time Of It's Airing) As Well. And Even Though CBS & NBC Themselves Refused To Air The Ad, Their Affiliates Could Have The Option To Air The Ad If They Wanted To. NBC's O&Os Did Also Have An Option Of Airing That Ad As Well, Like WRC 4 In Washington, D.C. Chose Not To Air It. In Fact Here's Just A Partial List Of Every Local TV Station Outside Of The ABC Television Network & O&Os That Have Or Might Have Aired The American Cancer Society's "Unborn Child Smoking Cigarette" Ad During/Throughout 1985:.

Uggh...that was so hard to read.

Do we really need a post marking the "anniversary" of the supposed first airing of an obscure public service announcement from 40 years ago?

Do we really need to know which stations aired the PSA versus who didn't air it?

And, why is every single word capitalized?

Apologies if this comes off as mean-spirited, but posts like this really grind my gears.

Have or might have aired the commercial? So the list isn’t stations that aired the commercial but includes stations that might have or possibly aired the commercial??
