404 DAY MIXING

Shout out to the Hip-Hop stations in ATL for showing out on the 4th! I know radio hasn’t been the same since pre-COVID, but ATL’s radio programmers are still making a real effort to keep listeners entertained. I just wish Charlotte would take a page out of their playbook—especially with how fast the city is growing.

The reality is, because of the current radio environment and financial challenges, most urban stations here barely have a full staff. Outside of Streetz 103.3, which mostly recycles their 5 PM rush hour mixes, there’s hardly any real weekend mixshows happening.

Power 98 doesnt mix anymore? At one point they were even broadcasting live in the clubs on weekends
