Shout out to the Hip-Hop stations in ATL for showing out on the 4th! I know radio hasn’t been the same since pre-COVID, but ATL’s radio programmers are still making a real effort to keep listeners entertained. I just wish Charlotte would take a page out of their playbook—especially with how fast the city is growing.
The reality is, because of the current radio environment and financial challenges, most urban stations here barely have a full staff. Outside of Streetz 103.3, which mostly recycles their 5 PM rush hour mixes, there’s hardly any real weekend mixshows happening.

Power 98 doesnt mix anymore? At one point they were even broadcasting live in the clubs on weekends
Yea man I heard the mix show they got goid djs. On 96.1 the beat
Hot 97 though they woulda mix for 420
Power 98 doesn't mix on weekends, just normal programming. Streetz and the block does.
Power 98 is live in the clubs on Wednesday and Thursday, 6:45pm-8:45pm EST with No Limit Larry and Dj Buttafingaz. Nothing on the weekends as far as I know.
