The axe. In Mike Robert’s case. (Saturday Alb. Journal)

First the Dukes leave town and the ‘Topes don’t pick Mike up as play-by-play, then the Lobo’s cut his mic. No gold watch, no retirement banquet with accolades all around, just some peanuts and we’ll see ya.

Don’t know what Mike did to piss them off, but surely they could have treated him better than this.

That is absolutely criminal! It's a sorry comment on the state of broadcasting and employee loyalty and professionalism in the industry today. Does anyone know if Mike has been inducted into the National Sprotscasters Hall of Fame?
