43.5 KHLM Wow All The Cause Words Wow

43.5 showing the movie Christine with all the cause words it is like someone put a dvd on and just walked away. Wow I did not know they were allowed to cause on brodcast tv at anytime do they all cause word after 10pm I am fine with the bad language??

Welcome to the Urban Houston Network, DJ. This has been on for about a month, with no rhyme or reason behind the programming. You think "Christine" was bad? You should've seen the unedited "Scarface" a couple of weeks ago. They're "sister" station 21.3 does the same thing, only instead of the movies I've seen a lot of "Merrie Melodies" cartoons on that one. Still using the same Urban Houston Network name on both stations. Not sure why they need two.

They play movies, unedited and unstopped, on the weekends as far as I can tell. I've seen "Space Jam", "Panic Room", "Scarface", "Christine", and "Sixth Sense" on 43.5 at one point or another. If they'd play the movies all the time, I'd probably retire the remote. You'll also find rap videos and such on the channel, which is why the remote is safely employed. :D

I can not even get 21.3 on my tv here on the southwest side close to the loop

Cause words don't bother me at all. Curse words are another thing. On premium pay TV, I expect that. On over the air TV, that's another matter, 'cause you never know when someone very young may tune into to the TV. Whew!

I believe he was going for "cuss" words, a common slang term in these parts.

The intitial post mentioned the movies airling late at night which is OK according to the FCC:

"What is the safe harbor? The safe harbor refers to the time period between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m., local time. During this time period, a station may air indecent and/or profane material..."

Two separate stations with two different names. 21.6 is UHN, Urban Houston Network while 43.8 is UTN, Urban Television Network.

Just for the record.

UHN is also broadcasting on 43.5.

I believe your record has been scratched, yragha. The discussion is about 43.5, which is Urban Houston Network (UHN), not 43.8 Urban Television Network (UTN). 21.6 is all informercials, most of which are in Spanish. 21.3 and 43.5 are both UHN, the Urban Houston Network.

For those interested, I found something new on 21.3 last night. An old episode of "Bonanza", followed by another western that I didn't recognize and that they never showed the opening montage. It just went straight from the Bonanza episode, without closing credits, into this other western show. Odd programming, to say the least.

Isn't cussing slang in ALL parts of the country? I didn't realize the word "cuss" was a regional dialect.
