44 CW rebranding

I doubt that's the reason, whether or not the CW is headed for extinction. It's common rebranding lately given the growing insignificance of dial positions. After all - 2 local stations beat them to it - "NBC Bay Area" and "KOFY" which rarely refers to TV20 anymore...except in small print at the bottom of the screen.
