I found the 49ers-Pittsburgh game on KGO absolutely unlistenable today. KGO's audio was noisy, ultra compressed, poorly mixed, horrendous. The announcer's voice (Papa?) was so buried by crowd noise that not only could I not catch the score, I could barely understand a word. Commercials could be heard OK, but the game play-by-play was impossible. I gave it about five minutes before I pulled my car to the side, went to my trusty smartphone, typed in 49ers, and got the score right away. Thanks, smartphone. Forget KGO.
