Four members of the Bay Area Radio Hall of Fame -- who also happen to be legendary 49ers radio voices -- will be featured on a CSN Bay Area special on Tuesday evening.
Here's the skinny from the press release (with thanks to Lenhockey):
Comcast SportsNet Bay Area, the home of "Authentic Bay Area Sports," presents a special tribute honoring the San Francisco 49ers’ legendary radio broadcasters who called the action for over six decades, with Echoes of Sunday: Golden Voices of the 49ers premiering Tuesday, December 29 at 6:30 p.m.
Hosted by 49ers play-by-play radio announcer Ted Robinson, Echoes of Sunday: Golden Voices of the 49ers, a half-hour program, features distinguished radio announcers Bob Fouts (1955, 1957-59), Lon Simmons (1960-80, 1987-88), Don Klein (1981-86), Wayne Walker (1979-1981, 1987-1997), and Joe Starkey (1989-2008) in a roundtable format discussing Niners history, and trading stories and reminiscing about the time they spent together and the players, coaches and management they encountered along the way.
The program also includes historic radio calls and the accompanying video spanning the existence of the 49ers franchise.
