It's time again for this years' 4th Annual Duel on the Diamond charity softball games to benefit A Wish Come True (www.awish.org). It takes place Saturday, June 16th, at the Agawam-Fynn field, 1600 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence and will feature two games this year. The 10am game pits the Smithfield Fire Department vs the Johnston Police in a match-up of outstanding public servants. Following at 12 noon is the annual media contest, featuring area TV and radio personalities. Among those participating in this years' game are Mike Montecalvo, Sara Hogan, Pete Mangione, and Kathryn Sotnik from WPRI/Fox 64, Joe Kayata and Adam Bagni of NBC10, and John DeLuca, Liz Tufts, Allie Cowley, and Courtney Fallon from ABC 6 on the TV side and longtime area sportcaster John 'Coach' Colletto, Tony Bristol from LiteRock 105, Davey Morris and Jessica Schiano from 92 PRO-FM, Jay Rogers from WARL 1320, Bill George, Chris Tyler and Steve Deschene from Clear Channel Providence, Scott Gibbons from Easy 99.1 WPLM, Joe Lembo and Ron St. Pierre from WPRO/Cumulus, Cliff Ponte, Brian Phillips and game organizer Mark Ambrose for the radio team. Special guest umpires will be RI Radio Hall of Famer Steve Kass, Bob Curvelo and Colin Higgins. There'll be plenty of food, music from PRO-FM's Jay Buff, and a BIG raffle with lots of great prizes.
