5 most entertaining people on Atlanta Radio

I stole this topic from the Boston board, but I think it's a good question...
I had a tough time with this one. I'm keeping this to local talent, and not syndicated personalities.

Here are mine....in NO particular order:

1. Mike Bell - 790thezone - The guy is good. He's funny, he does dead on impersonations, and he has a rainman type memory with information.

2. Ryan Cameron - V103 - He's topical, funny, and does a great job at knowing what his demo wants.

3. Dekker - 99x -Not your typical rock jock. Does his own thing, like it or not, and is the most creative and original of the music jocks in town.

4. John Kincade - 680thefan - One of the most polarizing hosts in the city. Like him, or hate him, he does stand out.

5. Neil Boortz - WSBam -I was going to leave him off, but he his home grown.

Honorable mention: Mara Davis - DaveFm

Bert Weiss - Jeff Dauler, Jen & Melissa on Q100's Morning Show

Griff - Hot 107

Okay, that's 5. If you want them on 5 different stations, I'm stumped.

1. Art Mehring
2. Clark Howard
3. Sean Demery
4. John Adams
5. Steve Craig

New and can possibly make the list soon
Rob Jenners

National Syndicatioin honorable mention
Bill Handel

Steve Craig? I think he's a good music jock, but I wouldn't say "entertaining." And....I hate the way he pulls away from the mic for effect.
And I have no idea who JOHN ADAMS is... and Art Mehring? Does he sound ANY more out of place then he does on Project 9-6-1?

Just my opinion..... :)

Mara Davis - Dave-FM
Chris Domino - 790 The Zone
Neal Boortz - WSB
Andy a.k.a. Digital Devil - Album 88
Clark Howard - WSB

Since your question didn't really specify past or present...

Also in no particular order:

Eric Von Haessler
Keith Kalland
Snake Davis
Royal Marshall
Clark Howard

Hmm, this is a tough list. I want to make a top 10! I'm going to keep it to current local personalities and in no particular order..

Neal Boortz
Margot Smith
Axel Lowe
SiMan
Steve Craig

Neil, thanks for the mention! You'll start hear more of me on Atlanta radio because I'm DaveFM's newest DJ. Makes me wonder if I need a new forum name...

Andy,

Congrats!! Let us know when you'll be on.

As far as my five:

Sean Demry
Mike Bell
Chris Dimino
Jeff Dauler
Neal Boortz

These lists show just how hurting for funny Atlanta radio is. OMG this is depressing. Axel funny? Likeable (sp?) certainly, warm, ok. But funny? Give up

Congrats on the new gig!!! Too bad you went corporate on us. When is the airshift?

Thanks! No set airshift yet. This month I'll mostly be filling in and helping run the board while others are on vacation. If all goes well, we'll see what happens in '07!

You can still hear me flapping my gums and rocking out on Album 88. I've got about a year left at State before I have my big blowout.

We are missing some "real" talent here......
1. Garrison Keillor (spelling??) "A Prarie Home Companion"
2. H. Davis Saturday night Jazz 90.1 FM
3. Mr. Moby mornings...The Bear 92.5FM (well....every else seems to like him....don't personally care for hime)
4. Ruhbarb Jones mornings 106.7 one of the nicest guys in radio!
5. Captain Herb Emory AM750 traffic another really nice guy.
Like Andy said(Congrats, BTW, for the new gig at Dave) there are many others who deserve mention.......

Larry Wachs oh wait people we find entertaining I first thoguht people who think they themselves are entertaining.

Mike Bell
Chris Dimino
Mara Davis
I think I ran out of people so I will have to also nominate a show I never heard Yogi y Panda.

Yogi and Panda are finished in two weeks. Their last show is December 29th.

My list of those still working...

1. Mara Davis
2. Margot Smith
3. Rush Limbaugh (I don't agree with him, but he is entertaining)
4. Neil Boortz (ditto #3)
5. Axel

Honorable mention to Tim Orff & Rich "Sully" Sullivan on Dave FM who were entertaining on Scott Ferrell's show and would probably make a hell of a morning show on their current station.

Here's my list...

1) Cadillac Jack
2) Jim Vann
3) Cindy Simmons (don't ask, you don't want to know)
4) The Kimmer (yes...he's gone but not forgotton and I liked him to there!)
5) Rhubarb and Dallas (yes...but the two make a good team so I must put them together...for this poll, of course)

Honorable mention...
Steve McCoy
Neil Boortz
Murph Dog
Scott Slade (yes, to me news can be entertaining and yes, I have no life)

Dimino ... his controlled rage when dealing with Home Team.
Boortz ... just stop telling us how many toys you have.
Hughes ... "Morning guy" who made the news amusing.
Von Haessler ... made the morning news jog amusing.
Sangster ... nobody does "spot news" better.
