50,000 Watt Switch

There was a quick switch of programming with Cincinnati's two 50,000 watt stations this afternoon. As UC's Big East Conference tournament game was finishing up on WLW, the news came out that a new Pope had been chosen. So WLW could air news of the Pope selection from the ABC Network, the feed of the UC postgame from Madison Square Garden was smoothly switched over to WCKY. After the postgame coverage, UC announcers Dan Hoard and Chuck Machock were interviewed by Mo Egger in the early portions of his show on WCKY.
