50% more news in PM on WSBB, really?

I have only had a chance to listen to Boortz in the morning, and WSBB is running spots stating that from 3-7pm they are airing 50% more news. In what form is this coming in?

how much news does wsb/wsbb run now during pm drive? not including traffic/weather and commercials it always seemed to me that it was a very small amount. it's like more the appearance of news than actual news... just a couple of headlines, and then a stopset and traffic and weather.

i'm not talking about during a breaking news story, just a typical afternoon.

two minutes at the top and a minute at the bottom of the hour? that's just a guess. you wouldn't have to add but a minute and a half to increase that by 50%.

I wondered about this too. It seems in the past year the top of hour news has grown shorter. I'm going to miss 1690-AM CBS news...it goes the whole 5 minutes.

I'm not really a news junkie, but I believe all those blab-fest talk shows may be what is
holding WSBB back. Some folks are more into news than "same as yesterday" talk shows.
