500th FM log and Perseids Meteor Shower 8/12/15

It's that time of the year again. The peak days for the Perseids meteor shower. Supposed to be 80 an hour tonight, and tomorrow night.
Now to the logs.

1237 PT - 95.1 KMMS Bozeman, MT; 4-sec meteor scatter burst with "Where the Streets Have No Name" U2, which matched the playlist. First EVER Montana station logged on FM in any mode! NEW #499, 100KW @ 463 miles.
1635 PT - Huge 90 second meteor scatter burn. Logged:
97.5 KZNS Salt Lake City, UT; sports talk, only possible match. Relog, but it's another "double play" for me - KZNS-FM has now been logged via Es and Ms. 89KW at 603 miles.
100.3 KSFI Salt Lake City, UT; matched playlist to "Listen to Your Heart" Roxette. NEW #500!!!! 25KW at 587 miles.
101.5 KEGA Oakley, UT; ad for Murdock Hyundai in Murray, UT. NEW #501, 89KW at 603 miles.
Also heard unids on 95.1 (maybe KYCS), 101.1 (likely KBER) and 101.9 (probably KENZ).
1645 PT - 101.3 KIKC Forsyth, MT; NOAA EAS alert for Montana, mentioning Billings. Looking at the NOAA WX map after coming home, there was a severe T-storm warning around Miles City, which is in the city-grade coverage area for KIKC. NEW #502, 100KW at 663 miles.
1704 PT - 95.1 KHOP Modesto, CA; brief 5-sec burst with OMI's "Cheerleader," matched playlist. Relog, 29.5 KW at 619 miles.
1920 PT - E skip...NOT meteor scatter. 95.1 KOAI Sun City West, AZ; in weakly for about 30 seconds with ID "95.1 and 94.9 the Oasis - Lite and Refreshing" and into "Stay with Me" Sam Smith. Relog, 41KW at 959 miles.

Recorded 97.5 last night, but haven't looked entirely at the tape.
Tomorrow I will post an audio clip of KIKC. I didn't get any of the others on tape.

Hmm interesting! I had an email this morning about 3 saying here was an opening up to 74 mHZ, but I'm never up at that hour anyway.
 
More new stations! Recorded 95.5 unattended last night from about 12:20AM-8AM.
1:35AM - 95.5 KCHH Worden, MT; brief 2-sec ping "from east of the Rockies, call..." which I recognize as being Coast to Coast AM. KCHH is the only affiliate of C2C on 95.5 in meteor scatter range. NEW #503, 100KW at 581 miles.
3:15AM - 95.5 KWNR Las Vegas, NV; nice burst with partial ad for TrueCar, and another partial ad for Bravo! Cuisina Italiana located in the Galleria Mall off Sunset Road (in Henderson, NV). Relog (previous E-skip), 100KW at 780 miles.
6:40AM - 95.5 CHLB Lethbridge, AB; big burst with ID "Blake Shelton on Country 95 - Everything Country". NEW #504, 100KW at 418 miles.

Yes, a big congrats on hitting your 500 FMs milestone, crainbebo! Were your catches all made on your G5? Where did you have it set up, and what do you use for your unattended recordings?

Great to see that you got some e-skip, too. Haven't had any in S.A. since July 29.
 
All made on the G5. I have NOT sent my Radio Shack DX-402 to Texas for a filter change (narrower 150 khz filters to help first-adjacent signals), so I'm only using the Grundig.
I use an Olympus voice recorder - VN-721PC. I set the recorder by the radio and clicked record for my unattended 95.5 session. Looked at 8 hours of tape, and found those 2 new logs + 1 relog, as well as a bunch of unids.
