540 BEING RUN BY CLEAR CHANNEL?

Fox Sports 540 now has a website... www.foxsports540.com.....

Looks like a lot of the Clear Channel websites out there, and the national Fox pages carry a Clear channel copyright notice. No info on the "contact" or "advertising" tabs.

The station continues to have no local content, no local spots, and sounds like they are running at their nighttime power 24/7.

By all indications, if not a formal LMA, this is at least a side deal for CC to tie up both ESPN (on 970) and Fox, and run Fox in a way that doesn't detract from any of their main properties. Running at low power is probably intentional so that it doesn't show up in the ratings.

And Birach does nothing but hold the license and collect a check.

So much untapped potential.....

ANd that suits Birach just Fine as the Daytime Signal makes it to DC , Thus Hampering WGOP,s Signal in Md.

May have something to do also with the housing development behind Southpointe.
It has crept up virtually into the shadow of those sticks. That's a lot of RF to pump
into someone's kitchen window (not to mention any damage that may have been done to
their ground lines with all that digging)

It looks like their linking to the Fox Sports national site for most of their links which is why you see the CC Copyrights on those pages.. Fox Sports Radio network is ran by Premiere Radio Networks (a Clear Channel property)...
