540 screw ups(Cheap Channel)

I was in Ft Lauderdale off of Griffen Rd Saturday morning listening to 540 between 8:30 and 9:00 AM. They had everything from Tom MacCubbin to Dave Ramsey to dead air going on. They were mixed up sometimes both playing at the same time. Who in the world was running the boards. Way to go Cheap Channel.

The lights are on, but no ones home. And what I mean by lights is what's emanating from the computer monitor. A number of years ago during some down time at work one Saturday night, I was flipping the dial. WFLF was playing an infomercial on C/D when all of a sudden it started skipping, and no one was around to stop it. I was temped to call Dan Stone who was doing a show on WTKS at the time and tell him he might want to send someone into WFLF's studio and smack the C/D player, but I didn't. Eventually someone figured it out.

Noticed the dead air and bad break timing last week while listening to Rush. Nothing seemed to time out properly with overruns and silence both. I guess even when you have the best equipment it is still only as good as the operator.
