540 WFLA, Top hour ID's, Spot's and PSA's and weather after midnight....

I've made mention recently of a sampling of WFLA. During several nighttime samplings of WFLA after midnight and after FOX New's, (fair and balanced) hour's 12AM, 1AM and 2AM, several night's this past week and prior to WFLA rejoining the feed from Coast to Coast AM with George Noory, I've heard and listened to The top hour ID, a spot, two PSA'S and the weather again.

The problem you ask? Simple, The top hour ID, the spot, the two PSA'S and the weather," all ran at the same time" 4-30 second unit's all running all at once and all at the same time, lest the 5 second ID that somehow got involved in this crash with the same set of circumstances being repeated again at the hour's mentioned above!

What am I missing here? Total unassisted auto-mation with no after hour board op, and the system being utilized has this sorta glitch? With the same glitch Repeated hour after hour? Who, at 540 WFLA is paying attention to this non-sense? The answer, that's simple too, no one at 540 WFLA is paying attention!

In short that's the problem with today's radio, today's radio people simply put, are NOT paying any bit of attention, and if I was to render a guess on my behalf, maybe their lack of attention is what makes today's radio entertaining for me.......

Who say's radio isn't fun to listen to anymore!

Tom Benson, good to see you post..... yes we know eachother, not the point, people should know,
Tom was the Finest PD and gentleman in that building, and would have never let that happen. Yes,
He was the PD of FLF/A, and was considered expendable in one of the most non thinking moves i have ever seen.
He also thought , he could break me in, and we talked about a weekend talk show, at staff christmas party.
If i was going to learn, then he was the guy. (Dont out me Tom, or cant cant opine anymore) , then the big ax swung
on 20 people, and off all of them, i thought, why him? he gets it. Or maybe thats why. Or maybe, because he considered
me talk talent, god forbid! I hope your well.

Hey Me...you're making me blush! Thanks for the kind words...we're still here in the O-Town area.

Tom - I don't know you personally and I have not followed staff on many of the Orlando stations; However, if you are the former WFLF program director, In my opinion, you did an outstanding job programming News Radio 540, WFLA.

Mark...Yep, it's me..Thanks for the kind words. I appreciate it...especially from a guy as knowledgeable as you. I enjoyed the years at WFLF. Tom
