55KRC - Rotten Audio

What's causing the atrocious audio on WKRC? Honestly, a 1970s era "POTS" line would have superior fidelity. The high end is screechy, and ear fatigue sets in quickly. While I understand that iHeart is broke, you can't tell me that they can't fix this in-house. I can think of a couple daytime AMs that are total corn-cob operations that sound better! WHIO sounds better, even with the noisefloor underneath. Hello, Jeff Littlejohn...

It's not just WKRC all of the IHeart stations have that metallic audio that is very fatiguing to listen to. They must have the voltair cranked up as high as it can go. That's known to cause the bad audio artifacts you are describing. The Cumulus FM signals in town sound much better.
