570 and 620 IBOC Off?

I noticed that 570's Iboc was off and i was hearing Some Station on 580 that Sounded like Talk Radio.
Also 620's IBOC was off and i was getting am 630 Playing Coast To Coast AM
And Over 570 i was hearing Some Morse Code and a Tone For Every second. With a Spanish Automated voice.

Me too. I was driving to Oklahoma City yesterday and listening to WBAP. The phase shifts were really annoying. I started to notice it around Pauls Valley, OK. I never noticed this until they started running IBOC. I hate IBOC on AM. It just doesn't work that well.

I think the morse code was explained already (Cuban State Radio), but thats no excuse to run IBOC.

570 and 620 IBOC are pleasant enough, but it takes a large tuned box loop to bring in HD - and I am virtually on top of 620 - which has a blowtorch daytime signal covering half a million square miles. WBAP and KRLD HD phase shifting is close to intolerable, and WBAP has taken a HUGE coverage hit. I was in Houston for a week, and a signal that formerly loud and clear with no static was severely degraded by comparison.

Probably WIBW in Topeka.

Most likely KHOW Denver, which runs Coast to Coast overnight.

That would be Radio Reloj, Santa Clara, Cuba. Has time ticks and top of the minute tones, accompanied by various talk. The morse code "RR" is easy to spot. Radio Reloj is a national network in Cuba, on many frequencies.

Agreed. It's a hell of a lot tougher to hear WBAP down here during the day than it used to be. KRLD is completely blotted out by the local 1070. KLIF still has something of a decent reach into this area, even with KLVI next door.

KLIF used to be a lot stronger down there, too. In Cypress, the local 1070 is far enough away I can hear KRLD - although weakly. But - the upper sideband of KRLD is equal to, or stronger, than its main channel.
