That is bad.
Two crawls? Why?
Well they are both hard to read.
They really need some new graphic for that.
WPIX did a much better job switching over to the CW11 Morning News, just swapping out the logo.

It's the color scheme of the entire CW Network, and unlike WPIX 11, 57 is an O&O, so of course, CBS had to go with the network color scheme.

Yeah, I just took a look at that.. it's painful to look at. It'd give someone a headache if they stared at it too long.

Traffic.com's Traffic Show
It's not a CBS program. The traffic company produces the show, from their building and with their "talent" (using the term loosely). It's the traffic company's show - not CBS or CW (of which CBS owns half ). Bought and paid for.
Maybe if some part of CBS produced the show, it wouldn't be such a POS - mostly wall to wall traffic reports, with some weather and a little news - very little - thrown in.

The "talent" is usually KYW's, with all anchors from there, the regular weather fill in (from what i've seen) is Maria la Rosa, and the traffic is......yeah....
But i do like Sean Murphy. And the equation for WUN is more 60% traffic, 20% weather and 20% news (thoes last two can fluctuate).
I'm a fan of it for that 20% news because every time i turned on Good Day, its a random interview with some nobody. And during Eagles season and American Idol season? forget it. and dont forget to throw in the medical report with Dr.Whatshisface on what flu symptoms are, then throw it over to Craig Mitnk's Legal Notes for a good 5 minutes of useless information. Add a couple Weather and Traffic on the nines, then throw it over to the little "interview area" for a conversation with a guy they pulled off the street./rant.
Just my opinion. May be very different from yours. Id take the chunky trafficweathernews mix any day over the bleedingly wannabe Local Today. IM hoping WUN gets a boost once they move into 1500 Spring Garden with sister station.

CW57 is moving. They don't produce WakeUpNews. Traffic.com does. The show comes from Chesterbrook. The newsreader is "borrowed" from CBS3 and they provide news material. The rest comes from Traffic.com

Well i read on another forum that an HD studio and an SD studio (studio or set, not sure which, but same difference) are supposedly being built at 1500 and it was discussed after the question of WUN going to HD was posed. I just wish that traffic or whoever gains control does something with the show. Its an actual NEWSCAST in the morning, not one of the 7 different versions of "Today" on all the other channels, .

They HAD an actual newscast in the morning. Remember KYW Newsradio for Television. Then the traffic people came along with a brokered programming deal. They pay to put on the show. It doesn't look like they are doing that well at selling spots in the show, so we shall see if the traffic people decide to continue whenever the contract is up. If it were up to me, I'd bring back the KYW Newsradio telecast - and continue it all day long.

Yes, i was thinking of Newsradio in the morning. That was the definition of a newscast. And speakind of ad time, i noticed recently that the TRAFFIC TICKER is sposored. A real WTF as to who would buy adspace the size of a thumbnail.
And back to the topic of graphics, can someone snap a shot of either the "New This Morning", "Lottery" or "Breaking News" bumpers? Its hilarious because with all their fancy new graphics, those three (possibly more) have a bar (similar to a website ad) towards the top of the page that contains the KYW bumpers for each of those seperate topic. My description may suck, but you just have to see it. Its hilarious.
Didn't know it was so hard to say goodbye to Pyburns...
