6-12-09 TV DX after the transition

Today, on a semi-crappy 5 inch TV, I picked up carriers on both 8 and 10. (Vancouver) I also picked up a tentative Ch. 2. (CBUT) Only channel on is 5 with nightlight coverage.

Night light?

I heard on another board that KSL-5 (analogue) was staying on in Utah to give "emergency information" which is apparently a non-stop loop of the "DTV conversion" infomercial.

CBUT!

Can't wait for Comcast to finally pick up CBUT digital. Wish they would add Global and/or CTV as well, though - especially with Vancouver 2010 going to be on CTV this year instead. :( :(

"Night Light" is the FCC's term for any full-power analog station staying on the air, for the purpose of providing a video loop of DTV transition information, up to 2 weeks after today.  They may also continue EAS tests and broadcasts on the analog channel as well during those 2 weeks.

KBTC-28 Tacoma is also still on the air, providing a "Night Lite" analog signal.
