I noted some e-skip activity once again in Coldwater, MI. It started around 9:00 and I gave up around 9:40. This time I was able to positively confirm 5 new stations not including one great big surprise that I decided NOT to log. Here's a look at what I confirmed. 90.1- KVOD- Denver, CO- Heard with classical program and mentions of Boulder. Matched the program schedule on the website. NEW #757- approx. 1060 mi.92.7- KKCH- Glenwood Springs, CO- Jack FM. I thought I heard this station last week during the Grand Junction opening, but I was finally able to confirm it tonight. This station was very strong like a local for about five minutes. NEW #758- approx. 1170 mi. my longest catch of the night91.1- KLDV- Morrison, CO- K-Love. Based on geographic location of this e-skip and the fact there is only one other K-Love station west of the Mississippi on 91.1 (in Fresno), i'm pretty sure this is KLDV. NEW #759- 1060 miles93.3- KTCL- Fort Collins, CO- Channel 933. Heard with station mentions and website mention. Positive catch here. NEW #760- 1040 miles 94.3- KKQZ- Wellington CO- Heard with commercial for Northern Colorado Waste Management. Narrowed down to this station. NEW #761- 1040 milesAnd the ones I decided NOT to log.. 88.7- K204BH- Yuma, CO- I heard a mention of KUNC on 88.7 except it sounded like they said KVNC. There was no match for any station with those calls so this seems like the only logical choice. I know it's not impossible for a translator to be carried via e-skip. The signal was very weak and only barely audible. TENTATIVE CATCH! 935 miles.88.9- KCJX- Carbondale, CO- Part of the 'Aspen Public Radio' group. Unfortunately two other translators and one other booster station of this network broadcast on 88.9. So while it was likely KCJX, it also could have been one of the other stations at 88.9. Especially after what I may have heard earlier in the evening on 88.7. TENTATIVE CATCH! 1182 miles.
