6 months for $19.99

Posted this on the XM board. I'm sure the same will apply to Sirius people.

I got XM in June with my new Hyundai. After the 3 months free ran out I got repeated calls offering "deals". I patiently explained that while I loved the service I just don't use my car enough to justify it. Last week I got offered 5 months for $19.99. Just to shut them up I told them if they made it 6 months I would take it. After a couple of minutes on hold for the "have to talk to the manager" BS they went for it. No reactivation fee or anything else but royalty for a grand total of $23 and change for 6 months.
If they did it for me I'm sure you all can get the same deal.

I called to cancel because I was upset with them taking American Top-40 The 80's off of the 80's on 8, and they offered me three months free. I called them last month to cancel for the same reason, and they gave me one month free as the rep said he wasn't sure if the change was permanent. So, I've effectively gotten 4 months free on two radios! Even though I barely listen these days, I'm not going to turn down free as I figure satellite radio is now worth what I'm paying for it!
