I wouldn't be surprised if you had wide-band hash being
radiated from that doorbell transformer; last spring I
tracked one of those to a 6 houses away that had begun
to generate noise - turns out those transformers have a
thermal breaker in them that ages (after +25 years), begins
to open, and in the process will 'arc' for days and days
before successfully opening all the way and succeed
in maybe finally 'opening' the circuit.
I'm surprised you didn't find it affecting other bands, like
the TV VHF Low-band CHs (2-6).
