60 Meter Band worldwide allocation approved by the FCC

MIDCARS is still around, too, still on 7258. And there's also SOUTHCARS on 7251, which seems to be the liveliest of the three. I've never heard WESTCARS, didn't realize there was one.
WESTCARS was quite active decades ago, but was mostly California stations, with some check-ins from the other Western states. The others can't be heard here in AZ, especially with my limited antenna space (actually, none right now until I rebuild it). I was able to check into MIDCARS from here only once, in 1973, but that was at my college club station, with a high dipole and linear. They were barely audible even then, but I was able to check in during the afternoon.
