60 Minutes: K. Weeks almost killed Howie

Ch 4 just played an excerpt from this Sunday's 60 Minutes; Howie Carr and
former Whitey Bulger sidekick Kevin Weeks both have books to sell and they both talked to Ed Bradley. Weeks claimed he was told to kill Howie and was across the street from his house with a rifle; Howie went to his car, leading his daughter by the hand. Weeks said he decided not to shoot Howie because "I wouldn't want to
kill him in front of his daughter". Howie doubts that Weeks is telling the truth,
though.

I don't like Howie's show since he sold out & went into syndication and no longer listen.I do remember he was one of the only ones to speak harshly of the Bulger brothers while they were in power while people like Barnicle were part of the Bulger's PR machine.

I'm not one of those reflexive (as opposed to 'reflective') anti-Howie types, just of the opinion that H. Lawrence touts a simple right-wing point-of-view, NEVER has guests on who disagree with him (Al Franken had Bruce Bartlett formerly of the Wall satreet Journal on Monday) and even derides callers with differing points of view...but by appearing on "60 Minutes", show he has pinpointed for its liberal bias and antediluvian personnel, he has INVITED being fingered for a dash of hypocrisy. Hmmm...I'll just have to place a call to 877-469-4322 during the Max Factor Monday!

And yes, he can be a hypocrite--deriding MSNBC for lack of viewers
but plugging the book on Rita Cosby's show. (But "Carr-ma" may have
caught up with Howie, as Joe Scarborough BUMPED him from a scheduled
appearance on MessNBC!

Howie was pleased that his former regular caller The Boston Flusher called in
again this week! (Flushes toilet...)
Meanwhile, whatever happened to the guy who used to call in to
Jerry W. and give him the raspberry/Bronx cheer? Unfazed, Jerry would just move on the next
caller...guy used different names to try and throw Jer' off...
