60's on 6 Mornings

Maybe it's just me, but does Phlash Phelps put a lot of callers on the air with REALLY deep southern accents? Does he do it for the humor (for the rest of the nation), or all the listeners below the Mason-Dixon line?

Other phoners he had on today were pretty tough to understand (bad cell phone, etc).

Makes for bad radio, and he should know better :p

What I heard sounded fun this morning but I can see that it wouldn't be for everybody. All I can say to that is at least he tries.

Yep!

I like old Phlash. He sounds like a friendly guy!

Phlash is the only smart thing Sirius did after the merger was to keep an energetic caring old-school DJ on the SXM band, even though he's relatively young.
Actually, the highest percentages of satellite radio penetration in radio markets are in the North in cities such as Toledo, Syracuse, Albany; all cities with crappy local radio and new adopters of technology; which means they are also just as likely to drop SatRad for new options too.
