60's Terry "Motormouth" Young

Not to get on a browbeat about any specific DJ, but I do not know what it is...I love the 60s channel and what they do with the DJ's making it a lively station and all but what is with Terry Young...My point!

He seems to get really angry at times...Today for instance even though it really is not noticeable he was doing CQ and took a request from an Evelyn in New Jersey. Upon finishing the call her cell was not the best but he got the request and it sounded like he grumbled a little bit and said Evelyn your cell phone sucks or something on the air...it wasn't the most polite thing. Then he named off the ladies and dedications...Evelyn he named and he said the person with the bad cell phone get a new one and then in the count down of states he said New Jersey with Evelyn's phone. He seems so rude sometimes and chauvinistic and I am a guy saying this.

If it were just today I would not think anything of it but I remember a few months ago where he was lambasting Phlash Phelps for a week or so. He challenged him to do 20 requests on his morning show...Yes, Phlash does a lot of talking but the idea of his show is an old type of 60s program, fun, friendly disc jockey, interacts with listeners, gets to know them, and also interviews 60s musicians or other guests with interesting hobbies. I mean he just was like I want to see phlash do 20 songs like I did this evening once.

So what is with him? THe dj's are entertaining but if I did half the stuff he did on the air live...like making rude comments about the person's cell phone...I probably would not be on the air. I remember I called phlash the day that challenge was laid down the following morning and asked him are you going to do it and he said he will not comment on that on the air because management told him about it and Terry was corrected or something...there was no mention that morning! Not to start anything on the board but just am curious about him and his demeanor sometimes. Phlash definitely from when I have talked to him seems to be a very nice guy who cares about the listeners!

Would love your two cents!

Pflash is the most and professionally sounding 60's jock on there. It was Cleveland Wheeler, but between them, it was close. And he's not there.

Speaking of Cleveland Wheeler, what ever happened to him/ I know Pat Clarke replaced him shortly after I got XM, but that's about it.

I actually spoke to him when he worked there. It was all over his voice that he was leaving. He missed Florida, and was not happy with D.C.
He complained about the commute and also had a girlfriend down there. I think he went back to Tampa.

Cleveland Wheeler is back in Tampa looking for a job in radio.
