Another Philadelphia institution will likely be gone soon as WIP on 610 AM will likely be gone after Beasley takes over ownership of the station. Beasley will likely get new call letters for 610 AM. The WIP call letters have been on 610 AM since 1928,

That Philly "institution" moved from 610 to 94.1 years ago along with the call letters.
