620 can't even schedule their commercials right

They were running an ad for the Motley Crue concert at 10:39 last night, when the concert was well under way.

Gotta make sure you reach those "Super Last Minute" fans who are going to rush down to catch the last 20 minutes of the show.

i was driving home from work last Saturday around midnight and i heard an advertisement for last minute father's day gifts.

Being an old school GM/PD/Prod Dir type, it drives me crazy how often this happens on radio and TV. Long after spring training was over, spots for Yankee Spring Training tickets now on sale ran on Verizon cable. You see and/or hear out-dated ads far too many times. Unfair to single out 620 as it happens everywhere these days much too often.

It is laziness through and through. Running out-dated material is more common than the cold. It has been going on as long as there has been recorded elements (i.e., weather, spots, etc.)

It mostly bothers me on weather "the highs will be..." when it is 8pm, or "home show runs all weekend long" - on Sunday afternoon.

I used to call dated live copy, "landmines".

Its' really simple:

Thursday- Sunday sale.

Thursday and Friday: Now through Sunday... Saturday: Today and Tomorrow...Sunday: Today only.

Traffic anyone?

Traffic jams are not restricted to "Freeways, Cars, and Trucks."

Speaking of 620 and commercials, it seems like there is a lack of them after midnight. I occasionally listen to FSR overnights and frequently hear replays of clips from previous 620 broadcasts with Sileo, Ron & Ian, and Duemig. They are about 2-3 minutes long and run during FSR's commercial breaks. I never understood why a station would do this instead of running spots.

1.) not enough listeners after midnight to attract local businesses.
2.) running the clips from previous shows brings the curiosity to the "Marquis" shows.
