640 Toronto: Talk radio...not just for men anymore

The subject line is old news, but here's the latest game plan for 640 Toronto:Some time in early July, Arlene Bynon and Stephanie Smyth (the News Director there) will take over mornings for two weeks, filling in for the vacationing John Oakley.Afternoon drive man not pleased:"But I must register a complaint as to how this new program will bust through Toronto's radio haze. The quote I read is this: THIS WILL ALSO HOPEFULLY SHATTER ANY "MOJO" VIBES AND EQUALIZE THE HORMONE DISTRIBUTION ACROSS THE STATION.I was hired by Corus to launch their All-Guys format when I was out of work. I had been fired by CFRB when they decided their afternoon show needed another point of view. I was a Day One employee of Mojo Radio and while talk show rookies may pooh-pooh its influence, I will not accept cheap shots." Link: http://www.640toronto.com/station/blog_mike_stafford.cfm

Looks like that link is no longer valid, as it takes me to June 6th, but it did take me to Mike's comments from yesterday, yesterday. (June 13th 2006)

Corus has no balls.

The early days of MOJO Radio were great! Johnny B, Ripkin, Scruff, et al.
Stafford is still there, and he's doing a good job considering Corus stripped the station of testosterone and replaced it with estrogen.
The last straw was getting rid of MacLeod and "The Beat". Ross and Craig were fantastic together.
Bromell and that left wing pinko, Downs, just doesn't do it for me.
