65th Primetime Emmy Awards - nominations

CBS will air the awards this year, on Sunday, September 22, and they will be held at the Nokia Theater/LA Live in Los Angeles. Neil Patrick Harris will host. The Creative Arts portion of the Primetime Emmys will be held September 15.

It could be a huge night for Netflix as far as House of Cards is concerned.

And yes...the Primetime Emmys WILL be live on the West Coast, meaning it could be followed by either an encore presentation or 60 Minutes then local programming.

Thankfully....there is nothing more frustrating than being within walking distance of the venue, in a town where the vast majority of this programming is produced and having to find out the results via Twitter.

Living in West Coast time, I learned to avoid Twitter & Facebook during these awards. It only makes sense to air them live and follow with a repeat. I think they will still get the same eyeballs and ad revenue.
 
At least Ed O'Neil has been nominated year after year. For me, Michael Douglas did pull off what would seem an impossible role for him.
