660 WORL

It's too bad the transmitter was not off as well. 660 WFAN in New York might have come in. That frequency would get more listeners then WORL could ever get when their on ;D
 
If there is one thing Salem in good at it's wasting quality call letters.

WORL in Orlando
WIND in Chicago (possibly the best calls in all of talk radio!)
KRLA in LA
KSAC in Sacramento

Great calls with no ratings...what a waste.
 
Salem came into the market in 2005 with "swap" of WORL Orlando and a station Salem owned in Dallas. In a seperate transaction, Salem acquired WTLN and WHIM in early 2006, giving them 3-stations in the Orlando cluster when combined with WORL... It was rumored that Salem was interested in acquiring an FM in the market, but that, to date, has never materialized. I'm not sure that ratings are very important to Salem as I believe they are selling bundle packages or clusters which has relatively decent combined ratings...
