660

The sound quality of WAMO AM 660 is very Poor, It sounds like talking into a glass jar. Sometimes they don't even sign off. I know they only need the signal to keep the FM on But Have some Pride.

I think you might be their only AM listener. Half the people working there probably don't know they have an AM. :)

I'm sure you're right. But the only reason they have the FM it's because of the AM. Don't you think the engineering staff would take better care of the equipment. They share the tower with WZUM and they sound good.

A lot of owners won't put one penny into maintenance until the station is off the air. I know WZUM needed a cash influx but I predict they will come to regret selling the tower to 660. The 100.1 signal is still on the air even when the 660 is off. If there's a problem with the tower they just have to get it fixed quickly enough to keep the AM license in good standing. They don't really have a vested interest in keeping 1550 on the air come hell or high water. Try getting a landlord to replace a window right away. :)
