680 History Question

I was looking through some Broadcasting Yearbooks from the early 1970s. I typed WRNG/680's address into Mapquest, and it looks like they were just to the south of the shopping center on Peachtree Road across from the Brookhaven MARTA station. I'm talking about the one that used to house a Harris Teeter and for a little while a Kroger, after Kroger purchased HT.

Does anyone know more about this? Is the building still standing? Is/was it separate from the shopping center?

Roddy,

I seem to remember a small white building at the site you mentioned. I remember driving with my Dad and he told me that was where Boortz was broadcasting from. Now I am 54 but it seemed like it was part of a small office park, but set aside

Interesting. Thank you. The shopping center looks more recent than the 1970s.
The Kroger/Harris Teeter shopping center dates from the 1990s. It was built for Harris Teeter.

Long Gone, I believe. I had retired from BellSouth..use to work the area and I remember the white 'radio-house'..all gone as Buckhead expanded with BrookHaven....(If memory serves correctly, it was at the Ptree Rd/Clairmont intersection)

It was on the West side of Peachtree, right across from the Brookhaven Marta Station. It was part of a strip mall if I remember correctly, not a stand alone building. I think that whole lot was renovated, so the buildings look different now.
