6ABC new studios

Hello. Any Word as to when 6ABC will start broadcasting from their new studios. Also I was wondering do they have a new green screen in the new studios that entends to the floor like in this picture for example: http://www.cmrstudios.com/images/shoot_greenscreen2.jpg Reason I asked is that some TV stations like KTTV in LA is now showing the entire person's body when they do the weather segments and I was wondering is 6ABC going to do the same thing or not.

Soon. Last I heard was they were aiming for around the same time to new fall season starts, but delays can happen. The building is already done basically, and some staff have already moved in. Including Amy Buckman. If you watch her saving with 6abc segments you will notice she reports from the new building.

The action news facebook, and some of the personalities have various pics from within the new building, and, and in some you can see parts of the new studio, but never enough to have a complete picture nof what things will look like.

Same applies to for the new green screen. This is the best I can come up with.

On Tuesday July 22nd, the Broadcast Pioneers of Philadelphia were invited to the new WPVI TV studios on Monument Rd. We had the complete tour of among other things engineering and the new Action News set, which is all very hush hush as we not permitted any pictures so no trade secrets leak before it's debut this September.

That's me standing second from left, just behind Broadcast Pioneers President Gerry Wilkinson. And that's Bill Wright in front of me with that dapper hat. All the way second from right is Bill Webber, and third from right is Dick Sheeran. See if you can identify the other Broadcast pioneers. Many familiar names in the crowd.

Notice the original WFIL TV camera that was actually in use at the original Channel 6 studios at 46th and Market St's. until the move to City & Monument Rd. in 1964 when Channel 6 went color.

Wow, floor to ceiling Cecily in HD!
What do you mean by that?
I think what he means is Cecily is hot, and seeing all of her is better then the current tight shot of the chest and above only that ch6 has due to lack of space.

Yes, hot. Action News babes are looking like FNC babes, all in HD!

They need to find a way to have Erin O'Hearn use the greeen screen, then, too.

As per the above link, the new studios include a new sign, designed to symbolise their 1970s-style "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" philosophy.
