7 March Saturday Night Live

Of course I meant 7 March! Noticed the mistake as I pressed Post. :'(

So what did you think of the 7 March SNL? Overall, I give it thumbs up.

Dwayne (don't call me The Rock) Johnson was a good host. I liked his monologue/dance number. The roles he played were good. TheRock Obama was funny but he should have smashed up more stuff. Andy Samberg made Rahm Emanuel seem crazy. MacGruber skits with father MacGyver were cool. Weekend Update made me laugh, even though I didn't immediately recognize Jessica Biel.

Negatives were the opening Tim Geithner skit. Even I figured out the Nigerian Prince would call! Also Kristen Wiig needs to retire the Jamie Lee Curtis character.

I liked the Hawaiian restaurant sketch, as Johson and Fred Armisen kept insulting tourists. That and the 'MacGruber' sketches were the best.

I wonder what ESPN Radio's Mike & Mike morning duo thought of "Game Time with Greg & Dave", as I saw way too many parallels between that sketch and their TV simulcast on ESPN2 for that to be coincidental.

The Hawaiin sketch was funny.

There's nothing really there to make me think "gee...I wonder if (sketch name) will air tonight"

Nothing to be excited about or to look forward to anymore.

It's just a ho hum excuse to keep my tv on saturday night these days. A real hit and miss deal. Sometimes there's great sketches, (Most) other times there's just plain boring garbage filler.
