Not sure what all this means. Anyone with some thoughts? All 7 stations are or will no longer be owned by Clear Channel?

Transfer of 71 Clear Channel stations to Aloha Station Trust, LLC, prior to or simultaneously with consummation of the merger/privatization of Clear Channel, to comply with the FCC ownership limits for an undisclosed amount.
Louisiana

KYRK-FM/Houma (Baton Rouge), WODT-AM, WYLD-AM, WYLD-FM, WNOE-FM, WQUE-FM & WRNO-FM/New Orleans,

FREQUENCY: 104.1 MHz; 1280 kHz; 940 kHz; 98.5 MHz; 101.1 MHz; 93.3 MHz; 99.5 MHz

POWER: 100kw at 1,946 feet; 5kw day/night; 10kw day/500 watts night; 100kw at 984 feet; 100kw at 1,004 feet; 100kw at 984 feet; 100kw at 1,004 feet

FORMAT: Rock; Sports; Gospel; Rhythm/Blue; Country; Urban; News/Talk

That has to be comforting news to the apathetic-sounding on-air drones who got lured onto the air with the alleged "new voice of N.O." on WRNO. In the final analysis, all they will have done is had faith in a bunch of flim-flam artists who are now apparently leaving town, and they leave radio *again* (Bo, Andre, etc) looking like suckers.

The 'RNO talk format is already dead. Dead and buried. It was a load of crap offered from day one. But the helluva thing, some moron got paid for this failed idea!

Shows you how trustworthy CC is. Good riddance to them.

Hopefully Entercom will be next.

sounds great!! up the playlist of 104.1. hire some local people. turn wrno back into new orleans classic rock but with a much bigger playlist. and tweak wnoe to add more 80s-90s country.

Actually KYRK is considered more of a New Orleans station....

Apparently they are cutting other bottom 50 areas but the one I'm surprised on is they are cutting New Orleans but keeping Baton Rouge?

Also puts up a question on what's gonna happen at KYRK as the whole station is VTed...

Also any info on who this Aloha station trust is other than a apparent holding company for someone with Clear Channel possibly? (as it has a San Antonio phone number )

I saw the link to the fcc page on one of the other boards but the N.O. stations were not listed,

http://svartifoss2.fcc.gov/cgi-bin/...text=25&appn=101191305&formid=314&fac_num=500

However do anybody know if this page is an amendment or the original one, If not what is the link to the correct page.

It sounds like it could be an LLC. within Clear Channel to possibly avoid looseing the stations

-JR- Got it Right!
"It sounds like it could be an LLC. within Clear Channel to possibly avoid looseing the stations!"

-Keepers in the Trust.

My guess was one of the holders of Clear Channel creating a trust as payment for himself kind of a ceo bonus while at the same time getting the numbers lower for the parent

Actually....all the details are in the document called "attachment 15" which is about multiple ownership (all the way at the bottom). In the second paragraph it states...

"In some grandfathered non compliant markets, CCC has not determined which
station or stations to place into the divesture Trust. For these markets, the Trust
Applications include each station in the non compliant combination. By the time the
parties to the Merger are ready to close that transaction, CCC will have decided which
stations to assign to the Trust, and will put into the Trust no more stations than are
allowable under the Commission’s radio ownership rules. Thus, the parties respectfully
request grant of the instant applications conditioned upon assignment into the Trust of
no more than the number of stations allowable under the multiple ownership rules"

It simply means that the stations that have to be spun off havent been chosen yet. Once that happens the rest of them come out of the trust, and are still owned by CC
