Donald Trump on Stern just said that the fact that Infinity did not simply fire Stern the moment of his announcement was one of the all time dumbest moves in business he has ever seen.

Can't disagree with him.

Trump points to the fact that Stern was allowed to promote his new venture and bash the company for so long - free promotion - that it was an incredible opportunity for Stern. Trump said that if it was him he would have fired Howard's ass on the spot.

Hope that money was worth it.

Sounds like December 16th is going to be a little more heavily attended than 1,000 unemployed men.

Yeah, me too...hell, no one listens any more, and all those tv appearances certainly won't help.

Meanwhile, Stern is still milking this for all it's worth. How the hell does Infinity allow for Stern to talk about his content on his new channels? All I hear about is Super Fan Round Table, Therapy Sessions, Tissue Time, The Howard 100 News and all the experimental shows! Think that is not impacting sales of Sirius units? He actually plays clips! Genius!

How about the fact that I can name you 4 programming elements to Howard's Sirius venture, yet I can't tell you a damn thing about the DLR show - they took the promos off the air! What happened to "nothing but yeah"?

Stern has played this to perfect execution...or some how Inifinty was smart enough to go into "partnership" with him in the Sirius deal. That would make a lot more sense to what is going on now.

A thousand people is alot. And alot of people aren't going to take the day off of work for Stern's emotional last day.

BTW how does Howard take a leak with you on his jock.

Come on Hack, are you Sirius? Let's make a little gentleman's agreement here on the estimated number of people that will be there 12/16: I will say 500,000+ (we will base the final number on either the Yahoo or FMQB number reported).

If there is one radio personality on the planet that I do not mind being accused of riding their jock, it is Howard Stern. Thank you.

I owe that man for years upon years of cry-laughing...not just the run of the mill chuckle that you get from other current morning shows, I mean I have to pull over to the side of the road for my own safety cause I can't see laughing.

O&A did that for me at times as well - especially Anthony's Mike Tyson.

As for the Sirius / Infinity partnership, now that would be something. A little too conspiracy theory-ish for me, and why the hell would Infinity allow for their stations to become shells of themselves AND brand them as "Free"?

I will absolutly take the 500,000 under. I will say 1-2 thou. If it was a weekend and not so close to the holidays I'd say 10,000 might not be out of the question. 500 seems pushin it.

And at least you take everything in stride. Some people are howie fans some are not I am not.

I think Infinity DOES own a portion of Sirius I've spent the day trying to find proof but has come up empty handed. Just as I remeber being told that CC has a piece of XM. Could be wrong though.
