700 WLW ID drops now mention FM translators

WLW now simulcast on at least 94.5 fm. Did not catch the second set frequency. Yea its been mentioned here before but never heard it on ID drops on the air before now.

..awww! The Big One just gave birth to little ones...How cute!

Speaking of the FM Translators..what is the deal with the 106.3/100.7 FM signal that is currently being used by CC for the WEBN HD signal that has the huge ass translator ID.... and then I heard country starting at 8PM tonight (01/21/2013) on the 106.3 signal as I was channel surfing...

Are the FM Translators shared with an HD country signal?

Am I missing something or has this already been discussed somewhere?

W292DT and W264BW are my favorite stations, and I haven't heard country on them. I wasn't listening at 8, but they were The Project both this afternoon and now. The 94.5 translator starts to come in for me around 275 to the north, but Iboc from Dayton leaves the radio flipping between the 2 stations. To the south, I had interference from Lexington as close as Newport. 100 watts can't go far on 94.5 here, but it is a huge improvement in my office.

And that's the point (or intended rationale) of CC to soon? simulcast WKRC 550 on 94.5 downtown. The cavern of tall buildings and concrete are not kind to AM signals in offices.

As far as 100.7 and 106.3 I really don't see them changing anything (formats) in the near future. Again, it fills a niche in the market (modern rock/alternative).

Listened on the way home from Church today. Broo was awesome. Signal was great in Price Hill at St Larry. By Western Hills Plaza it was unlistenable. Not a game changer for me. Plus processing on FM was thin with serious level issues.

The awesome news: I can finally listen to Marty and Cowboy at GABP. Thanks CC!

No, downtown buildings are not kind to AM signals, I remember when I was working downtown, AM signals were tough to pick up.

I probably won't be able to pick them up, but could someone post the new fm frequencies so I can try?

Thanks.

I think what would really be cool would be for a TV channel to broadcast on FM.....without needing a Wi-Fi signal...just an old fashioned FM.
