70's/80's weekends

I noticed when I went to Round Rock and Lubbock recently, there was either an AC or Classic Hits(oldies) station doing a "70's Weekend". The Hot AC station in Lubbock, Mix 100 was even doing an "80's weekend". Now I know here, KLUV does the 70's, but is there a station here doing the 80's on the weekends?

no, but KSCS did a 90's weekend. Playing country songs from the 90's.

With ipods, satellite and cable radio, does anyone really care anymore? My hunch is that they don't. I think it was always more about the talent spinning the records than the music itself, but radio stations don't seem to get that.
