70s on AC

Your "Adult Standards" station plays "More Than A Feeling"?
Sorry. I didn't read that carefully enough. I also didn't see "Stay" by Jackson Browne, and I don't know what that is.

And now that I think of it, some of those songs I heard on Timeless Favorites but not on the station I listen to now.

On a related note, there was a time not long ago when the adult standards station's owner's son would take over for his father on the morning show, and at 7 in the morning he'd play "Take Itr On the Run" by REO Speedwagon, "Caught Up in You" by .38 Special, "China Grove" by the Doobies, and "Don't Stop Believin'" by Journey. 7 in the morning! A few years ago he did an afternoon show where those songs were played (though the satellite format was still Memories, not Dial Global). He's gone now, and I'm so relieved. He hasn't even been alowed to fill in for his father lately.

Of course, even the father has played "Material Girl" by Madonna, "Physical" by Olivia Newton-John. And when James Brown died he played "I Got You".

"Stay" is the same song as the versions by "Maurice Williams and the Zodiacs" and "Four Seasons", the former of which is the shortest #1 song in chart history.

The songs you mention are all fine for AC and are typically played (JB might be too old), but I've never seen China Grove on an AC. .38 Special is a hit or miss but I'd play it.
