730

Noticed that 730 has been off the air for almost a week.. Pretty curious if the folks at Gem 104 turned off their transmitter and sold that frequency to another company.
However, their translators are still running normally, so does 1460 which comes in weakly in the Wilkes-Barre area.

730 is fairly listenable down this way, on a good portable. Shucks, now I don't have anything to // to see if 1460 is playing the same thing. I got WGMF in Hazleton once -- weakly -- but they haven't made it here to my 'den' yet, tou count.

O/T assistance, pls?
On trips to Scranton or the Catskills from here, we naturally take I-81. Around the Nanticoke area, in what appears to be off to the east side of the road, there is a vast tower array, perhaps 5 or 6 of them. It's tough to count them, even at night when they're lit, since you're following the swerves of I-81 at speeds of 55-65, and the towers often go behind trees.
Might that array be more than one station?

When Marian Dunstan Karsten passed away recently, they buried the xmtr with her.

If that "array" is on top of the mountains, it is the Penobscot Knob site that is used by most of the local TV stations and many FMs.
