790/950/1320 triplex status

According to Radio-locator KPRC 950 is now operating from the KBME 790 site, so part of the triplex appears to be in place.

R-L does not indicate any change for KWXY 1320 yet. KXYZ has an STA to diplex at the old 950 site while its part of the 790 triplex is built.

Meanwhile KILT 610 still awaits a CP to diplex at the KNTH 1070 site.

Radio-locator has now removed the KPRC update and is showing the original location with no CP info. KPRC apparently was granted a license modification a few days ago, but it involved the existing site. Not sure what is going on here...

Appears the 790/950/1320 triplex project may be nearing completion. iHeart has filed STAs for reduced power operation for KPRC and KXYZ at the KBME site, presumably for final engineering tests. Correspondence also indicates licenses to cover for the finished authorized configuration are upcoming as well.

According to filings with the FCC today, the construction and testing of the 790/950/1320 triplex is now complete, and iHeart is requesting STAs to operate the facility as granted in the CPs, pending licenses to cover for KPRC and KXYZ.

So we should shortly be hearing the “new“ signals, if not already. This has been a two year process for iHeart, so I’m sure they are glad to get this finished.
