790 gets ESPN

790 picks up the ESPN affiliation and drops all remnants of Yahoo Sports Radio. This means YSR loses a long time (and important Top 20 market) clearance. Ouch.

True, daytime it's fine, but who's listening? Their days as a sports station is over. They need to go oldies. Quxie in Dixie!

Does this mean they get to run John Kincaid's Sunday morning ESPN show and all of his evening show fill in work? Awkward!!!

If I'm not mistaken, I read recently that 790 actually holds a slight lead over 680 during the key day parts.

As for Kincade's ESPN show, the article I read said 790 will not be airing it.
