790 is going Oldies

How many threads do we need on the subject here? I don't know if I've ever seen a change get so many threads and posts that say the same thing!

amen brother. Everybody thinks they are getting new news out there.
 
I had to laugh when Buddy was talking about Ron being the new program director of 790 and that he had big plans for 790 and he was nt letting anyone know anything until it happens.
If anyone on the trail reads this board can you please inform Ron that this is the worst kept secret.
790 flipping to True Oldies has been a HOT top topic on this board since Saturday when someone I assume who works on the trail leaked out the new link of The new format of True Oldies.

IMUS In the morning and True OLDIES all day.Since all the rest of the True Oldies stations are airing IMUS I don't see them dropping him at all. Considering its all Citadel owned.

Ken, it's theater of the mind. Besides the 17 people reading this board, the general populace has no idea what is going on...had someone ask me today if there is something wrong with the Score transmitter b/c WPRO-AM was booming out of their radio
 
I could have predicted what Bill Reynolds would say in today's Projo sports column & I would have been right. He ripped into Citadel.

While I'm never happy to see people let go this is also a lack of understanding of newspaper people about other media. Nobody reads your newspaper. It folds. Nobody listens to a station. It flips. End of story.

Bill Reynolds is about as relevant to sports radio as Jack Warden was to the movie "The Replacements"....for what it's worth...when the hell was the last time he appeared on The Score!?!
