790 The Zone Shoots Down "Young Guns"

The nightly "Young Guns" show has been cancelled in favor of a new Falcons-based program titled "Football Night In Atlanta" (wonder if NBC is going to send 'QXI a C&D?):

Oh yeah, one of the "Guns" stays with the station as a vacation relief.

Interesting... Earlier today, the Cleveland Browns' flagship station announced a new nightly show focused on the Browns. I wonder if this is going to be the new trend in sports talk radio - nightly team-oriented shows, most likely airing on the teams' flagships. It might just get folks interested in radio again!

Give them credit for trying something new. It didn't move the ratings needle for them but it was something different on the dial of Atlanta radio.

That's a shame. It definitely felt a little amateurish, but I enjoyed the college football talk (and recruiting thoughts). Hope we get more than Falcons talk every night.

It is not just Falcons talk but it is all NFL from what I have heard. I think John Michaels does a real good job and glad to see him as one of their upcoming guys over someof the others like Sam Radon.
