The tape playback was 3 3/4ips. The transmitter was located behind the Elks Lodge on College Ave (now a MARTA parking lot) We had a problem at one point when some members of the club decided to plant a garden under the tower. They dug up 5 or 6 radials before they gave up. When I left the station I was second in seniority and still a high school student.
