"7News is the only Boston station to....

...have a local reporter in England."

For those not in the know, there was a terrible tradegy in the central Massachusetts town of Hopkinton in which a young woman and her 8 month old baby were murdered. The husband/father is currently a "person of interest" in this case and may or may not be on his way BACK to the US from England where he has been since the murders and possibly since before the murders. Drugs may or may not (or may) be involved.

WHDH, 7TabloidNews....oh, Im sorry...WHDH, 7News, felt the need to send a reporter (Dan Hausle) to England to report on the story. Was that REALLY necessary?? I can't say I'm surprised given that it's 7TabloidNews. However, I did see Dan Hausle's report tonite and he had nothing new to report that hasnt already been reported. The same basic information was reported on WCVB. I hope that WCVB and WBZ dont send reporters.

Seems to me, in this case anyway, it means there's one more reporter probably getting in the way of the investigation in England.

All it really does is allow 7TabloidNews to say "7News is the only local station to have a reporter in England". Big deal. Stay home, stay out of the way, and, regardless of the circumstances, dont forget that a woman and her baby were murdered.

Geez, what a waste of money!
I can't wait until Ed looks at the books at the end of the quarter and says "We sent a reporter to England for this?"

Sounds like sour grapes to me. 7News is ahead of the game on this story. Hausle's report was played several times on MSNBC today.

I agree, 7 is the only station that had the forsight to jump ahead of the game, when bigs news does break 7 will be the first to get the scoop and if no reporters from the states are there when big news breaks, these same people will be whining that we didn't have enough sense to send a reporter to where the action is, can't win.
